one can learn a lot from Toy Story.
I once heard a man speaking about friendship, specifically Philia, the Greek work for friendship.  What stood out to me most was that Philia love should not be mistaken as two people facing each other and walking down a road in which the goal is to meet the needs of the other person as one would do in Eros love, namely passionate love usually between lovers.  Philia love is when 2 people are facing the same way and are walking together in that same direction.  That no matter how different, in whatever season, both people are supporting each other as they strive to walk down the road leading towards the same goal.
Friendship can be with anyone: with your grandmother, sister, boyfriend, the classmate 2 years younger than you, your youth leader, etc.  I’m so thankful for the friends I’ve met in past seasons of life, and the new friends I’ve made in this new season.  It is my hope, desire, and mission that I may someday call my unsaved friends my sisters and my brothers in Him.
